Terms and Conditions

Project Qualification

The qualification process includes up to one pre-approval site visit as needed; a marked floor plan with estimated artwork sizes, medium, and framing recommendations; a cost proposal; and an initial artwork presentation with up to two revisions per client request.

Art Consultant Time

Art consulting services are included in the purchase of artwork from Boston Art. Art consulting time may be billed at the consultant's discretion on an hourly basis for client-requested services such as additional site visits, meetings, curation and presentations exceeding the original scope of the project. Clients will be notified if their requests will incur additonal hourly costs. 

Design Package and Renderings

Design Time includes but is not limited to the creation of renderings, custom design work, image manipulation, catalogue creation, graphic design, and other design services.  Design Time fee will be estimated based on the scope of the project and added to the initial cost proposal. This fee includes a first round design package plus renderings and two revisions. After the second revision, additional revisions can be requested and will incur additional fees. 

Invoicing

Standard projects require a 50% deposit to start production. Projects that are deemed "complex" or have very long lead times will require a 33% deposit to engage Boston Art's services before significant creative work commences. A second deposit of 34% is then required upon final approval of the artwork program. The remaining balance is due upon delivery. In the event of a significant project delay, 30% of the project total will be due on the original estimated completion date. The final 3% will be due upon project completion.  

Project Cancellation

In the event of cancellation by the client, the client is responsible for any time and fees incurred to date. All deposits are non-refundable. 

Installation Scheduling

All installations are scheduled at the client's discretion. If a scheduled installation is cancelled or rescheduled by a client within 5 business days, a $375 administration fee per scheduled installation day will be applied to the final Balance Due each time there is a change. 

Storage

Should client-estimated timelines change after production has begun, Boston Art can hold artwork at our facilities for up to one month. After this time, artwork must either be delivered to the project site or Boston Art can obtain off-site storage space for the artwork. Artwork that requires off-site storage will be billed at market cost plus labor in the final Balance Due invoice. 

Administration Time

Administration time is billed at a rate of $150/hr for services including document organization, ad hoc administrative tasks, copy writing, plaque design, research, logistics, or remote installation coordination above and beyond the expected project scope. Administrative fees will be included on the cost proposal if known at the time of scope approval. Clients will be notified if additional requests will require Administrative Time. 

Warranty

Boston Art stands behind the quality of our work. If you have any concerns, please reach out to us directly. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a warranty on artwork or frames if the product has been altered or damaged. This includes but is not limited to adjusting frame structure, altering the original hardware, the addition of wires to the back of frames, or damage incurred due to acts of nature or human error/intervention after Boston Art has completed installation.
