In the heart of Back Bay, 28 Exeter at Newbury features an iconic artwork program with an eclectic mix of mediums and a vibrant contemporary twist. A lenticular work by Irene Mamiye greets visitors in the lobby, showcasing past and present images of Copley Square. The historic-meets-modern theme continues down the corridor with digitally manipulated archival and current photographs by Harry Enchin.
In the amenity suite, mixed media pieces by local and international artists invites viewers through the space and up the staircase to the building’s new pool deck. Silvia Lopez Chavez’s mural in the vestibule hints at what’s to come once outside – a striking mosaic, a first for the artist, inspired by the beautifully lush gardens and dreamy hues seen at dawn and dusk. Altogether, the collection intertwines Boston’s history with a fresh artistic perspective, creating a dynamic and engaging experience.
