Internship Program Description:
Boston Art selects one intern per term (Fall, Spring & Summer) to become an integral member of our art
consulting team. Boston Art’s internship program is designed to offer undergraduate students a unique
experience at the top art consulting firm in New England. Interns have the opportunity to work closely
with both Boston Art’s President and Operations Director. Over the course of three months, interns gain
exposure to many aspects of the business including: gallery organization, artist review and selection,
frame specification, art catalog administration and/or client presentation preparation. The internship
may also include tasks such as directing phone calls, prepping gallery for client presentations, organizing
artist files and assisting with incoming and outgoing mail/shipments. The internship is a paid position, compensation based on experience.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be currently enrolled at an undergraduate university/college with an outstanding academic
record. We seek individuals with a demonstrated interest in art history. The ideal candidate is hard working,
resourceful, and enthusiastic. Proficiency in the following computer applications are a must: Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research. Knowledge of web page design, Adobe Photoshop, photography
and/or database systems is a plus.
Internship Terms:
Fall: September 2 – November 26, 2008
Spring: January 5 – April 3, 2009
Summer: May 26 – August 21, 2009
*We understand schools have varying academic terms and as a result we will make every effort to adjust
internship terms accordingly.
